This mini reading log shares a few poems and songs celebrating Christmas. Each poems and song have an activity attached to support students understanding, encourage creativity and self-reflection.
Suitable for all ages, this creative writing tasks informs students of each reindeer’s personality traits. Then, students are set up to write a letter to Santa sharing their thoughts, feelings and ideas on the lead up to Christmas.

Each card has three visual symbols that will inspire your creative writing. Write the opening to a story where each of these symbols features. It does not have to be directly mentioned, it could be described in a more subtle manner.
